Job summary

KMT Waterjet, a Shape Technologies Group company, seeks a Quality Engineer to act as the technical liaison among product engineering, manufacturing, and the supply base. You will conduct inspections, testing, and sampling to ensure materials and products meet all specifications and quality requirements.

You will lead APQP, FMEA, control plans, and PPAP submissions for new projects, and drive corrective and preventive actions while supporting product and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of supplier quality or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Experience with containment activities and corrective action plans.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical liaison between product engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and suppliers.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and sampling to ensure compliance with specs and requirements.
• Lead APQP, FMEA, control plans, and PPAP submissions for new projects.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions and support process improvement teams.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and supplier development programs.
