Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Engineering Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
• Approximately 35 years of experience in a quality engineering role in manufacturing.
• Experience with statistical tools such as Minitab or JMP.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review manufacturing jobs to validate material selection and heat treatment.
• Ensure documentation aligns with specifications and procedures.
• Perform root cause analysis on metallurgical and heat-treatment issues.
• Develop and verify corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate third-party lab testing and review reports.
• Verify incoming material chemistry against certifications.
• Drive supplier corrective actions for non-conforming materials.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop metallurgical programs.
• Support new product launches with defined materials and controls.
• Improve process capability using Lean and Six Sigma.
• Apply statistical analysis to monitor process performance.
• Promote continuous improvement culture.
• Communicate findings with reports and presentations.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Contribute to quality documentation.
