Job summary

Malibu Boats seeks a Quality Engineer to support quality functions and supervise Process Auditor(s). You will partner with production, engineering, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement, resolve quality issues, and implement robust quality systems for marine Seat and Back Cover Assemblies.

The role emphasizes PPAP development, corrective actions, and cross-functional problem solving to reduce COPQ, scrap, and warranty trends while upholding safety and environmental standards and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
  • 8+ years of related quality experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools (SPC, FMEA, Control Plans).
  • Experience with root-cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead plant-level quality activities to ensure products meet specs and customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain control plans, work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions (8D, A3, 5 Whys).
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.
