Job summary

JCB North America seeks a Quality Systems Coordinator to lead ISO 9001 practices at the San Antonio facility. You will establish quality standards, drive process improvements, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing conformance across all products.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Establish quality standards that address all products produced in the manufacturing processes.
  • Lead the ISO 9001 management system for manufacturing.
  • Manage product quality programs / projects for manufacturing.
  • Create, set up and audit manufacturing processes and changes to ensure conformance with process control procedures, quality standards and engineering specifications.
  • Monitor quality, productivity and performance.
  • Create and implement necessary changes to ensure quality standards are met within manufacturing.
  • Provide training to ensure that proper procedures are followed.
  • Ensure system conform to applicable ISO 9000 standards for welding and fabrication.
  • Create process improvement communication channels across the manufacturing functions.
  • Champion continuous process improvement amongst teams and its team members.
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for the coordination of planning, execution, operation and maintenance of quality system procedures and standards for the JCB North America manufacturing facility. This individual will drive and have ownership of identifying opportunities for product and process improvement and lead quality improvement activities with cross functional teams.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities


  • Establish quality standards that address all products produced in the manufacturing processes

  • Lead the ISO 9001 management system for manufacturing

  • Manage product quality programs / projects for manufacturing

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar from an accredited college or university

  • 2- years of experience in weld fabrication

  • 5S lean manufacturing and six sigma certified

  • Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment in a related industry

  • Has weld / fabrication background

  • Collaborative approach to resolving issues impacting various groups across the enterprise.

  • Ability to understand processes (system and non‑system), troubleshoot, develop, and recommend solutions.

  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and be a self‑motivated team player.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Project.


Job Conditions


  • Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment.

  • Subject to noise and temperature changes.

  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including Friday - Sunday 6am -6pm

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.

  • Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities. These activities may involve fine movements or large motions.

  • Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist.

  • Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed.

  • Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force.

  • Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment.

  • The employee may need to work on elevated access platforms when necessary.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
