Job summary

DWYER INSTRUMENTS, LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer to support Plant and Corporate Quality initiatives and act as a liaison between Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality.

You will measure/monitor assembly processes, drive continuous improvements, develop corrective actions for customer concerns, and assist in training Quality Inspectors while supporting manufacturing engineering and new processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related technical field, or ASQ certification or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred, or 7+ years of related quality experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of 8D problem solving, Control Plans, and SPC.
• Electronics and mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Machining processes (CNC Mill & Lathe), GD&T, and blueprint reading experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Measure and monitor assembly processes to drive continuous improvements.
• Develop and implement robust corrective actions for customer concerns.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering in new processes and test equipment development.
• Apply quality tools: 8D, control plans, SPC, and FMEA where applicable.
• Train Quality Inspectors and assist with day-to-day quality activities.
• Occasional travel to other facilities to support investigations or training.
