Job summary

Transcendia, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations at two Grand Rapids facilities. You will partner with operations, engineering and production to improve quality, reduce risk, and ensure reliability of custom-engineered materials.

This hands-on role requires strong analytical skills, experience with statistical methods, and the ability to lead root-cause investigations, audits, and corrective actions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing with production personnel.
• Proficient in statistical methods (Minitab, DOE, SPC).
• Experience with document management systems (SharePoint).
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years in quality/engineering in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support at two Grand Rapids facilities, frequent travel between sites.
• Perform inspections, testing, sampling, investigations and audits in production.
• Apply data-driven problem solving to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Prioritize workload and manage multiple projects with accountability.
• Develop and improve quality standards with operations and engineering.
