Job summary

Trane Technologies, a world leader in climate solutions, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support Tyler manufacturing operations. You will focus on critical-to-quality process performance, resolve product and process quality issues, and deploy quality systems.

Responsibilities include data analysis, root cause identification, corrective actions, and daily manufacturing support, with opportunities to lead process improvements and supplier quality resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Quality Engineering certification is a plus
• Experience with Quality Management Systems is a plus
• Demonstrated experience with leading structured problem solving activities

Responsibilities

• Resolve manufacturing quality issues using structured problem solving to establish capable measurement systems and root cause analysis
• Support quality management system processes and participation in critical to quality processes
• Provide daily quality engineering support for manufacturing operations, including off-shift
• Support new component and production introductions with quality systems and methods
• Lead process improvement activities to reduce cost of poor quality
• Resolve supplier quality issues related to production operations disruption

SUMMARY

Support Tyler manufacturing operations with specific focus on critical to quality process performance, resolution of product and process quality issues and quality system deployment.

Responsibilities

• Resolution of manufacturing quality issues by utilization of structured problem solving methodologies to establish capable measurement systems, collect and analyze data, identify root cause and implement effective corrective action
• Support of quality management system processes and practices including active participation in management of critical to quality processes
• Daily quality engineering support of manufacturing operations including off-shift support
• Support of new component and new production introduction through development of systems and methods to ensure product and process quality
• Lead process improvement activities to improve cost of poor quality
• Supplier quality issue resolution specifically related to production operations disruption

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KEY COMPETENCIES

• Bachelors' degree in Engineering preferred; relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree and willingness to pursue higher level of education is valued.
• Quality Engineering certification is a plus
• Experience with implementation of Quality Management Systems is a plus
• Demonstrated experience with leading structured problem solving activities
• Proven ability to apply Lean Six Sigma tools a plus
• Computer literate within a Windows environment and proficient with Microsoft office products
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to make timely decisions and apply sound judgment
• Ability to organize tasks and manage time to complete multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate at all levels within organization

$77,963.33 - $109,340.00
