Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, in Louisville, KY seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to lead quality improvements on dishwasher components and testing processes, owning MCIs/MCPs and data analysis to drive yield.

In a fast-paced, high-volume environment you’ll collaborate with operations, coach team leaders on escalation, and apply Lean/Six Sigma to reduce COQ and deliver measurable quality gains.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or industrial eng or equivalent.
• 3 years in manufacturing quality disciplines.
• Experience with high-volume, short-cycle consumer manufacturing.
• Experience interpreting data to solve problems.
• Experience in development or sustaining instrumented equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations to identify root causes and improve quality.
• Respond to testing abnormalities and variation; drive resolution.
• Ensure MCIs/MCPs are followed; audit test processes.
• Maintain MCIs/MCPs; manage documentation.
• Coach team leaders on escalation for quality issues.
• Promote APS; drive continuous quality improvement.
• Lead testing data analysis to improve yield and COQ.
• Coordinate with testing teams to modify testing logic.
• Coordinate deviations with Change Control and issue BCR.
• Own development of factory quality measurement systems (gaging, test equipment).
• Serve as back-up BCR approver.
