Advantech Industries Inc. in Rochester, NY seeks a Quality Engineer to monitor and improve the quality of our manufacturing processes and outputs.

The role focuses on developing quality plans, coordinating inspections, and driving continuous improvements. Responsibilities include reviewing specs, creating inspection plans, using HQA Inspection Manager software, and collaborating with operations to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Formación

• Hands on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of technical documentation.
• In-depth understanding of machining and sheet metal fabrication including print reading and GD&T.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Solid computer and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, to adhere to deadlines and the ability to be flexible.
• Superior communication skills and ability to develop teamwork among staff.

Responsabilidades

• Review customer quality specification/PO flow downs, codes and technical design documents/drawings to provide an accurate inspection plan.
• Participate in contract review meetings to initiate and advise on inspection plans.
• Utilize HQA Inspection Manager software to bubble drawings, create FAI reports, and identify critical dimensions to be verified and recorded on an in-process inspection report.
• Develop quality plans for manufacturing based on customer RFQ.
• Collaborate with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
• Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with quality standards and safety regulations.
• Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
• Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance.
• Update our Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes and improvements.
• Manage calibration system in Inspection Manager Software.
• Assign gauging to check critical dimensions.
• Work with customers regarding quality questions and issues.
