Job summary

Hi-Tech Manufacturing, LLC seeks a Quality Engineer in San Jose, CA to analyze trends, identify root causes of quality deficiencies, and lead improvement projects. You will develop process metrics, support PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and participate in internal audits to drive manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customers on quality concerns, leading 8D and fishbone analyses, and working cross-functionally to prevent quality issues and improve QMS documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of progressive Quality Assurance experience.
• Relevant industry experience required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with customers on quality concerns and improvement projects.
• Leads corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why, and fishbone analysis.
• Analyzes system data to identify major contributors to poor processes.
• Proactively identifies failure modes and preventive actions.
• Evaluates project performance during and after execution.
• Leads cross-functional teams to develop and improve systems.
• Coordinates PFMEA, MSA, Control Plan, and capability studies.
• Compiles PPAPs, defect containment, and root cause analysis.
• Analyzes production and supplier nonconformance data.
• Analyzes customer returns to determine root causes.
• Improves QMS documents and procedures.
• Collaborates with suppliers, product/ process engineering, maintenance, and operations to resolve issues.
• Leads vendor surveillance and on-site assessments of materials and processes.
• Responsible for issuing and closing supplier corrective actions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
