Job summary

Metso seeks a Quality Engineer to join the Mesa Service Center Repair Operations Team, providing technical and quality support for repair operations and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

You will ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal standards, report to the Quality Manager, and participate in root-cause investigations to enhance performance, safety, and customer satisfaction, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Requires technical degree or equivalent experience in quality engineering.
• 3+ years in quality engineering, manufacturing, or repair environments.
• Strong knowledge of QMS and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with RCA, CAPA, quality reporting, and data analysis.
• Willingness to obtain NDT certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001 and Metso standards.
• Coordinate ISO 9001 compliance, audits, documentation, gap assessments, corrective actions, and closure of findings.
• Develop, maintain, and standardize quality procedures, work instructions, forms, inspection plans, and records.
• Analyze quality data, generate reports/dashboards, monitor metrics, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead RCA and CAPA activities to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Manage calibration systems for inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
• Investigate quality incidents, non-conforming materials, repair processes, and customer concerns.
• Drive Lean Six Sigma and statistical methods to improve operations and product quality.
