Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. in Monroe, NC seeks a Quality Engineer to develop and implement robust quality plans, drive corrective actions, and prepare critical reports.

You will advance continuous improvement using the COS framework and collaborate across functions to ensure compliance with quality standards. The role requires a mechanical/manufacturing background with 2–5 years in quality engineering and familiarity with AS9100/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or technical field
• 2-5 years quality engineering experience
• ASQ certification (or equivalent) preferred
• Experience with ASTM, Military, DFARS and FAR specifications and GD&T

• Assist with internal and external 3rd party and customer audits

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Interpret ASTM, Military, DFARS and FAR specifications, drawings, including knowledge of GD&T
• Working experience with writing quality procedures
• Problem Solving: Solves problems using systematic analysis processes and industry-standard methodologies
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and applications
• Quality Process Management: Applies quality tools and methods (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Capability studies, Process Audit, inspection, test)
• Measurement Science: Analyzes measurement processes throughout the traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty.
• Experience with standards such as AS9100, ISO14001, ISO9001
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines, be detail oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to collaborate across business functions to achieve results

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a technical field required or relevant combination of education and direct experience.
• Requires 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering, including understanding of quality concepts and principles.
• ASQ certification (or equivalent) preferred
