Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in North Kingstown, RI. This on-site internship targets students graduating in December 2027 or May/June 2028, offering hands-on experience in technical customer support, software applications, and product demonstrations with potential to transition into a full-time Application Engineer role after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial).
• Experience working in a factory setting preferred.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• Experience in coming inspection techniques, blueprint reading and GD&T a plus.
• Comfortable with hands-on laboratory/factory environment.
• Ability to work Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week during the summer break.

Responsibilities

• Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities that positively affect safety, the environment, quality, reliability, and productivity or improve the overall suitability and effectiveness of the management system, its processes, and products.
• Assists teams with root cause and continuous improvement efforts to improve both product and process quality.
• Assists the Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining the quality systems.
• Works with various teams to implement design changes.
• Ensures that products and processes comply with the requirements of the quality system.
• Assists operations in the timely resolution of non-conforming products.
• Conducts inspections using hand measurement devices as well as CMM's.
• Required to incorporate clean work practices in daily working routine.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
