Job summary

Mativ is a global leader in specialty materials with a plant in Minneapolis where the Quality Intern/Co-op will support quality assurance activities, verify test results, and assist with manufacturing work instructions and documentation.

The role involves leading investigations into root causes of nonconformances and customer complaints while coordinating with production teams to ensure continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program with a concentration in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Management or Quality Management
• Minimum of 1 full year coursework completed (preference for 2 full years)
• GPA 3.0 or higher in field of study
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• High initiative and drive with a curiosity to learn and improve the business
• Ability to analyze information, synthesize findings, and work collaboratively in a team setting

Responsibilities

• Verify startup parameters against Standard Operating Conditions documentation and resolve differences with operations
• Verify first-roll test data and highlight or resolve differences with team
• Audit roll-level production test results and identify root causes with staff
• Monitor line startup and product change processes; assist with testing questions and escalation
• Lead a technical team to review and disposition nonconforming materials and implement corrective actions
• Investigate root causes of customer complaints and verify effectiveness of corrective actions
• Perform other duties as assigned
