Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. invites talented chemistry and engineering students to join their Minneapolis plant for a 10+ week internship starting May 2026.

You will work on extrusion line experiments, collect and analyze production data, and collaborate with engineers to propose improvements. Ideal candidates are self-starters with strong analytical and communication skills, who can work in a team and contribute to real-time production projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree program with concentration in Chemistry or Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of coursework completed; preferably 2 years.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and carry out controlled experiments on extrusion lines to evaluate process variables.
• Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data to identify potential process improvements.
• Collaborate with Process Technicians and Engineers to document findings and recommend changes to operating conditions.
• Present results and recommendations to the department at internship conclusion.
