Job summary

Textron Lycoming Engines is seeking an engineering intern to gain hands-on quality planning experience on real projects. You will work with experienced professionals, contributing to quality plans, inspections, and process improvements while supporting supplier quality and internal teams.

The role emphasizes learning, mentorship, and developing practical skills in a supportive Textron environment with potential for future opportunities within the Textron family.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of statistical techniques and applications.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directive and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s).
• Reviewing customer contracts; responsible for requirements analysis, identification and definition
• Interfaces with Supplier Quality Engineering to provide guidance and support for supplier issues
• Uses knowledge of inspection tools and techniques to define inspection requirements
• Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis
• Participates in design document reviews and assists in developing fabrication/build processes and standards
• Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
