Job summary

Charter Manufacturing Company is offering a Quality Engineer Internship in Cleveland, OH, for the summer. The role provides hands-on experience supporting quality initiatives in steel manufacturing and uses Salesforce, ETQ and Tableau to analyze data and drive improvements.

You’ll work full-time (40 hours/week) with start date in May 2027, focusing on developing QA tools, dashboards, and daily quality activities to support automotive customers and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing tools to streamline existing quality assurance (QA) processes.
• Create dashboards and job aids to identify, organize, and extract information from existing data sources.
• Support daily quality activities focused on serving automotive customers.
• Analyze data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across quality processes.
