Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern/Co-op at our Minneapolis plant to support the Quality Manager in ensuring product quality meets customer and company requirements. You will verify test data from production, assist with creating manufacturing work instructions, conduct root-cause investigations of nonconformances and customer complaints, and participate in corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Individual must be currently enrolled and working toward a degree with a concentration in Quality Assurance,Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Managerment or Quality Management.
• Student will need to have completed a minimum of 1-full year of course work with preference for individuals who have completed 2-full years.
• Preference is a minimum 3.0 GPA in the academic field of study.
• Must have solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Verify startup parameters against SOP documentation and resolve differences.
• Verify test data from the first production roll and resolve differences.
• Audit roll-level production test results and identify root causes and resolve differences.
• Monitor line startup and product change processes; assist with technical escalation and authority to discontinue production.
• Lead a technical team to review and disposition internal nonconforming materials and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate root causes of customer complaints and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Other duties as assigned.
