Job summary

Brasstech seeks a part-time student to assist in developing and updating production work instructions for safe and efficient manufacturing. You will follow standard formats, obtain approvals, and upload materials to Brasstech's intranet, ensuring updates per engineering changes.

You will also participate in 5S, kaizen, and cost-reduction activities to support lean manufacturing goals. The position requires a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering student with MS Office experience.

• Experience working with MS Office software.

I.PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Under the direction of the Director of Lean Processes this person will be responsible for developing and updating production work instructions that relate to the safe, high quality and efficient manufacture of products at Brasstech.

II.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops work instructions following standard format.
• Distributes completed work instructions for approval and follows up to obtain approvals in a timely manner, making any corrections as deemed necessary.
• Uploads approved work instructions to the Brasstech Intranet System.
• Updates Work Instructions as required per Engineering Changes (EN’s) or process changes.
• Participates in team-based process improvement activities:5S, kaizen, Lean Manufacturing practices, cost reduction, etc.

III.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• None

IV.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Student.
