Brasstech in Santa Ana, CA is seeking an Assembler I to assemble, inspect, test and package finished products across one or more work centers. You will verify quality, document replacements, and close work orders while adhering to safety rules.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 6 months of related experience preferred; strong blueprint reading, tool usage, teamwork, and clear communication are expected. Familiarity with smart tablets and English language skills are required.
The Assembler I will assemble, inspect, test and package finished product in one or more assigned work centers. Additionally, the position will inspect to verify quality of the item (finish, scratch marks and dings); and complete paperwork for replacements parts and to close work orders.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses smart tablet, computer or telephone equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision and ability to adjust focus. Able to sit or stand for frequent periods in the same location with some opportunity for movement. Requires continual standing/walking, and occasional stooping. This position requires the ability to continuously lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds with or without assistance. Capable of seldom adding a torque of up to 15 ft/lb.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a warehouse environment, and have frequent standing and walking. The ambient conditions are moderate, and the noise level in the work environment is moderate. The employee will be working near or around machinery.
