SPX Technologies in Brentwood, MO seeks a Quality Engineer Summer Intern 2027 to support quality activities, documentation, internal audits, and corrective actions within a cross‑functional team.

You will help prepare policies and procedures for the revised ISO 9001 standard, collaborating with teams in Brentwood, Cuba, and Monroe City to ensure quality system updates and compliance.

Formación

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Support development and maintenance of quality activities and procedures to meet ISO 9001:2026 requirements.
• Assist with internal ISO audits and cross-functional quality projects.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Quality Engineer - Summer Intern 2027, you will support quality activities, documentation, internal audits, and corrective action efforts while working with a cross-functional team to prepare policies, processes, and procedures for the revised ISO 9001:2026 standard.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

• Quality Systems and Documentation
  • Provide support for the development and implementation of quality activities and procedures to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2026 standard.
  • Develop, revise, apply, and maintain quality procedures, quality plans, and related documents.
  • Support coordination of revisions to policies, processes, and procedures to meet the requirements of the revised ISO 9001 standard.
• Cross-Functional Quality Projects
  • Work with a cross-functional team to support quality system updates related to the revised ISO 9001 standard.
  • Collaborate with personnel at Brentwood, Cuba, and Monroe City.
  • Assist with ISO internal quality audits.
• Root Cause and Corrective Action Support
  • Assist teams with root cause analysis and development of corrective actions.
  • Support corrective action activities related to internal and external quality issues.

Required Experience
• No prior experience required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Effective human relations skills, including good listening ability and the capability to work well with others to implement change.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs.

Education & Certifications
• Actively pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
• No certifications required.

Travel & Working Environment
• Hybrid role based in Brentwood, with collaboration with personnel at Brentwood, Cuba, and Monroe City.
• Occasional or seldom travel may be required; less than 10%.
