Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting a Quality Engineer for a Bournemouth-based engineering and manufacturing business. This hands-on role focuses on product and process quality, supplier quality, root cause analysis and continuous improvement to resolve issues and raise standards.

The successful candidate will work with manufacturing teams, suppliers and engineering to drive quality improvements, conduct audits, support ISO 9001 compliance and manage corrective actions. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Quality/Engineering.
• Experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, NPI and Supplier Quality.
• Ability to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Drive Supplier Quality Improvement activities.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances using Root Cause Analysis.
• Support manufacturing with product and process quality issues.
• Conduct internal, supplier and process audits.
• Support ISO 9001 compliance and promote a strong quality culture.
• Manage NCR, corrective and preventive actions.
• Support NPI projects and customer PPAP submissions.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce the cost of poor quality.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance.

About YouYou'll ideally have:

• A Degree, HNC, NVQ or equivalent in Quality, Engineering or a related technical subject, or relevant industry experience.
• Experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, NPI and Supplier Quality.
• At least 6 months' relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good Microsoft Office/computer skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel when required.
