Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and maintain inspection plans and quality processes for flight hardware and software. The role supports containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to ensure reliable, economical products for mission success.

The position is based at the Production and Test facility north of Cedar Park in Briggs, TX, with collaboration across design, manufacturing, and QA teams to drive quality improvements and conformity to ITAR and AS9100

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering.
• Experience with aerospace quality standards (AS9100/ISO 9001) and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality plans for flight products and inspections.
• Create inspection plans for launch vehicle components and sub-assemblies.
• Develop training and standard work for detailed inspection programs.
• Ensure actions for product acceptance meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Generate records for traceability and First Article Inspection.
• Lead inspectors on workflow, efficiency, and best practices.
