Job summary

Hone is an online medical clinic seeking a software QA engineer to write and maintain test cases, own testing for features and bugs, and build reliable end-to-end tests using Playwright and API testing. You’ll help stabilize the suite, chase flaky tests, and use AI tools to draft cases and selectors with synthetic data compliance.

The role emphasizes remote-first collaboration, strong communication for bug reports, and timely delivery with minimal supervision in a fast-paced healthcare tech

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in software quality, testing, or test automation.
• Programming or scripting ability in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
• Experience with Playwright or comparable UI and API testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with Git and basic debugging.
• Experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Codex, etc.).
• Strong communication skills for bug reporting and reviews.
• Ability to finish scoped work on time with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain test cases for features covering happy paths and edge cases
• Own testing for assigned small features and bugs
• Write reliable automated end-to-end tests in Playwright and API-level tests
• Maintain test suite stability and chase down flaky tests
• Run exploratory checks and write clear, reproducible bug reports
• Use AI tools daily to draft cases, automation, and selectors
• Apply patient-data guardrails using synthetic test data
• Provide code and test reviews and feedback to teammates
