Job summary

GAF is seeking a Process Engineer to ensure optimized operations for product production and process development, focusing on quality, cost, and efficiency. The role drives root cause problem resolution through KT tools, trials, and solid engineering fundamentals.

You will maintain process specifications and related documentation, and train personnel on company products, policies, and procedures, including suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering coupled 2+ years of demonstrated related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Lead process design reviews, raw material qualification and product and process qualification and capability studies.
• Train production personnel on Statistical process Control (SPC).
• Co-ordinate Plant Trials with R&D and plant personnel.
• Standardize Manufacturing JSA’s, Standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to maximize the production departments productively while minimizing wasted time and controlling cost.
• Analyze Manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems for failures and provide solutions to eliminate production downtime or extend time between downtime and equipment failures.
• Plant liaison for Manufacturing improvement projects between other groups and plant personnel.
