Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Malden, MA is seeking a Quality Engineer II to lead quality initiatives, ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and drive process improvements across aerospace manufacturing operations.

You will maintain the product quality and inspection system, including dimensional, metallurgical, NDT, and traceability, collaborating with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to production meets customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years aerospace quality experience.
• At least 3 years of quality engineering experience.
• Ability to work under ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system (AS9100, NADCAP).
• Participate in contract reviews to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Lead corrective actions using 5-Why and 8D.
• Conduct internal audits and close audit findings with effective CAPAs.
• Review and disposition nonconforming material reports.
• Prepare and submit customer approval documentation.
• Create and maintain quality documentation (manuals, procedures).
• Support QA to address over-inspection, ship-qual issues.
