Job description

About the Role

The Quality Engineer II is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. This role involves planning, implementing, and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. The engineer will design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, equipment, and finished products. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams is essential to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements in production processes and quality assurance protocols.
  • Document quality assurance activities, maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize knowledge of electrical and mechanical drawings along with familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ensure compliance with IPC and NASA requirements, apply understanding of RCCA and CAPA, and participate in Corrective Action Reports (CAR).
  • Participate in internal audits and apply basic internal audit training.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Typically 2+ years of related experience.
  • Basic understanding of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA).
  • Basic internal audit training.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in quality assurance or inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.
  • Proficiency with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Experience with advanced quality assurance tools and techniques like FMEA and SPC.
  • Familiarity with quality management software and databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Compensation

Pay Range: $80,898.00 - $111,255.75.

Actual base compensation will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
