Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Quality Engineer I to support production operations and advance its quality program. You will work with shop floor teams, supplier QA, and engineering to solve problems, implement corrective actions, and maintain process controls.

The role includes data analysis, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree and up to 3 years of experience, with exposure to PPAP/APQP, SPC, FMEA, and metrology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 0-3 years of experience.
• PPAP, APQP, SPC, and FMEA experience preferred.
• Basic GD&T and metrology knowledge helpful.
• Basic knowledge of ERP software.
• General office software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRB walks and consolidate quality issue data.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (8D/Six Sigma/Red X).
• Investigate first pass yield failures and implement preventive actions.
• Develop and implement cell standard work for products.
• Maintain containment for non-conformances and manage deviations/quality alerts.
• Analyze quality data and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on High Impact Projects.
• Report FPY metrics monthly and issues weekly.
• Conduct ISO 9001 internal/process audits.
