The role involves using both conventional and emerging tools and methodologies to collaborate with the Quality Engineering Services (QES) and Agile teams. The responsibilities include executing system integration testing, designing and executing test cases, developing and maintaining automation test scripts, and working under the guidance of more experienced Quality Engineers to understand business requirements and expectations.

Required:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in:
  • Developing and executing test cases, ensuring coverage and logging defects
  • Creating automation/performance test scripts with appropriate tools
  • Documenting defects and tracking resolution
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Experience with HL7 FHIR or interoperability solutions
  • Experience testing APIs and tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Swagger
  • Familiarity with test and defect management tools
  • Experience creating test plans, including approach, timelines, and metrics
  • Knowledge of various IT platforms and software development lifecycle in an agile environment
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks
  • Data warehouse testing, including SQL/MongoDB queries
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CSQA, CSTE, or CSQE

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze business requirements, design, write, and execute test cases, including testing data on service layers, web applications, and data warehouse/ETL processes.
  2. Decompose test plans to verify system requirements, potentially under guidance for complex efforts.
  3. Create and maintain reusable test scenarios, scripts, and cases, ensuring traceability to requirements.
  4. Identify, analyze, log, and retest defects; prepare test execution plans and status reports.
  5. Seek opportunities to incorporate test automation and explore non-conventional testing approaches.
  6. Support adherence to SDLC, operational procedures, and security standards.
  7. Contribute to transformational efforts aligned with department and technology strategies.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
  9. This position requires a non-compete agreement.

    Remote Eligible: You may work remotely or come into an office occasionally for meetings or important moments, depending on your location and manager's requests.
