Job summary

Jabil in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Quality Engineer to support assembly manufacturing by developing quality docs, driving corrective actions, and liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. This role directly contributes to high-quality healthcare, analytical instrumentation, and automotive solutions.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 2 years in related fields, strong communication, and a solid understanding of quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between Jabil and suppliers/customers on quality issues.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance plans and process routings.
• Participate in or lead the authorship and execution of Process Qualification activities.
• Support quoting activities including process design, development, and implementation.
• Evaluate and support inspection processes through aids and instructions.
• Develop and implement specialized training for applicable functional groups.
• Conduct periodic reviews and maintain documentation files.
• Develop systems for document storage and access.
• Review discrepancies and coordinate corrective and preventative actions.
• Provide trend analysis of defects internally and externally.
• Participate in vendor survey activities as applicable.
• Support supplier process improvement efforts.
• Provide technical and logistical guidance to the quality engineering team.
• Drive corrective action efforts using SPC data and tracking tools.
• Work safely and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
