Job summary

NSG Group/Pilkington is seeking a Quality Engineer for our US operations to lead quality assurance across manufacturing, supplier quality, and product launches. You will implement QC procedures, conduct thorough inspections, and drive corrective actions for quality deviations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in automotive quality engineering, familiarity with IATF 16949/ISO 9001, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in automotive, preferably Tier 1.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret customer and supplier prints.
• Experience with SPC, production monitoring devices, gauges and quality tools.
• Training in disciplined problem-solving (5-Why; 8-D; DMAIC).
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork with strong communication.
• Proficient with common business software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive quality engineering activities to meet customer specs and world-class yields.
• Develop, implement, and monitor QC procedures across the manufacturing process.
• Perform rigorous inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
• Investigate quality deviations and customer complaints, proposing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process and product improvements.
• Coordinate supplier quality efforts and conduct supplier audits as needed.
• Oversee NSG traceability systems and internal training on quality controls.
• Translate customer requirements into production specs and control plans.
• Support NMI/PPAP activities and internal audits (IATF/ISO).
• Conduct weekly quality improvement meetings and travel to customer sites as required.
