Job summary

Pilkington North America Rossford plant seeks a Quality Engineer to lead manufacturing quality initiatives and ensure adherence to IATF16949/ISO9001. You will drive root-cause analyses, corrective actions, and supplier quality projects in a single-site facility.

The role requires 3–5 years in automotive QA, strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to train staff on quality processes. On-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or an Associate’s with 4+ years experience.
• 3-5 years as a Quality Engineer in automotive, with a track record of quality controls.
• Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards and customer/supplier prints.
• Experience with SPC, gauges and common quality tools; trained in structured problem-solving (5-Why; 8-D; DMAIC).

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and quality initiatives using 10 Key Safety Leadership Behaviors to ensure world-class yields.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality procedures across manufacturing to meet specs.
• Perform rigorous inspections on materials and products; investigate deviations and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally for process improvements and cost saving in product quality.
• Coordinate supplier audits, establish supplier quality standards, and support PPAP/FMEA reviews.
• Maintain NSG traceability system and conduct internal audits (IATF16949/ISO9001).
• Translate customer requirements into production specs and control plans; lead NMI activities.
