Job summary
RTX in Melbourne, FL seeks a Quality Engineer for 2nd shift onsite. You will program AOI equipment, verify defect detection, and support production with quality engineering expertise.
The role focuses on containment of nonconforming material, audits, and driving continuous quality improvements across cross-functional teams. A university degree and up to 2 years of experience are typical requirements.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Program Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment
- Ensure programs are detecting all defects
- Answer questions regarding workmanship criteria and defects
- Support Production by providing Quality Engineer support
- Ensure containment of all nonconforming material
- Support cross functional teams
- Support internal audits and customer audits
- Support proactive organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving
- Complete Root Cause Corrective Action tasks
- Support teams in collecting and analyzing quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs
- Prepare and maintain Quality documentation
- Performs duties required by the Quality Management System
