Job summary

York Space Systems is seeking a Quality Engineer I to manage quality processes in our manufacturing environment on-site in Greenwood Village, CO. The role focuses on non-conforming materials, PCBA investigations, and cross-functional problem solving to improve product quality and process efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field and has 2+ years in aerospace/high-reliability settings, with experience in 8D, FMEA, SPC, and Six

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Quality, a related technical field, or equivalent manufacturing quality experience.
• Experience with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certifications.
• 2+ years in engineering roles within aerospace, defense, or high-reliability industries.
• Familiar with MRB processes and non-conformance management.
• Proficient in quality tools: 8D, FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Identify, document, and manage non-conforming material on the production floor and with suppliers.
• Lead/support root cause investigations and determine corrective actions.
• Coordinate containment activities to minimize disruptions and ensure traceability.
• Apply quality tools (8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone) for problem solving.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
