Job summary

AMAX Engineering Corporation in Fremont, CA invites a Quality Engineer to strengthen hardware QA across AI servers, GPU systems, and data center solutions. You’ll maintain the QMS (ISO 9001), lead root cause investigations, coordinate CAPA, and support supplier and internal audits.

You’ll mentor teams, collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain to prevent defects and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of quality engineering experience in hardware/electronics/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and internal audits.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and test data to assess defects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the QMS aligned with ISO 9001, coordinate audits and drive closure of audit findings.
• Act as primary contact for customer quality issues and escalations, providing technical updates and tracking actions.
• Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, and global quality teams to resolve issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Perform hardware failure investigations and root cause analysis using inspection findings, logs, specifications, and supplier reports.
• Drive containment and CAPA, prepare and review 8D reports, verify effectiveness.
• Conduct supplier audits and drive resolution of defects and quality escapes.
• Manage nonconforming material controls, traceability, and RMA disposition with teams.
• Support new product introduction and changes by reviewing quality risks and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate product certification and compliance documentation with customers, suppliers, and test labs.
