Job summary

Jabil in Richardson, TX is seeking a Quality Engineer to represent the quality function within manufacturing and to liaise with suppliers and customers on quality issues.

Responsibilities include developing QA plans for new product introductions, supporting quoting during process design, evaluating inspection processes, delivering targeted training, maintaining documentation, and driving corrective/preventive actions across global accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing or similar discipline required.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• ASQ/QE certification strongly preferred and Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• IPC 600 and 610 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA plans for global new product introductions using APQP and process optimization.
• Provide input to quoting activities during initial process design, development, and implementation.
• Evaluate inspection processes and provide guidance on inspection aids and guidelines.
• Support global training programs with targeted training for applicable functions.
• Develop systems for document storage, access, and review for global accounts.
• Review discrepancies and coordinate corrective/preventive actions across suppliers or customers.
• Maintain documentation files and ensure proper storage and access.
• Interface with other departments to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
