Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Quality Engineer to represent the quality function in manufacturing support, coordinating with suppliers and customers on global quality issues. The role involves developing QA plans, supporting quoting, and driving corrective actions to improve processes across global accounts.

The ideal candidate has a technical engineering background with 2+ years in manufacturing, strong communication, and preferred ASQ QE certification along with Lean Six Sigma credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing or similar discipline required.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• ASQ/QE certification strongly preferred; Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
• IPC 600 and 610 knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA plans for global new product introductions using APQP and process optimization.
• Provide support for quoting activities by participation in design, development, and implementation phases.
• Evaluate inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.
• Coordinate and track corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness.
• Develop document storage and review systems for global customer accounts and interface with all departments on Quality Policies and Procedures.
• Drive process improvement and standardization of manufacturing processes for global customer accounts.
