Job summary

Beacon EmbeddedWorks, Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing quality and supplier performance. The role focuses on leading quality investigations, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects within an electronics manufacturing environment, including SMT processes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, strong writing skills, and proficiency with SPC, DOE, and quality tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• 2-3 years of experience working in electronics manufacturing environment; SMT experience required.
• Proficiency with quantitative methods and tools (SPC, process capabilities, DOE).
• Advanced problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve quality issues.
• Experience with MS Office; PLM change management, ERP, and metrics are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues including returns, complaints, and internal non-conformances.
• Guide teams using quality tools to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Document investigation reports and support procedures through strong technical writing.
• Lead training to support quality objectives and culture.
• Drive continuous improvements to improve customer satisfaction and plant objectives.
• Support supplier quality initiatives, audits, corrective actions, and supplier changes.
