Job summary

Beacon EmbeddedWorks in Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality and support manufacturing with a focus on continuous improvement. You'll work with cross-functional teams under the Senior Manager of Quality, applying problem-solving tools, conducting audits, and driving corrective actions while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust documentation.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering, 3–5 years in manufacturing ( SMT experience essential), strong

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related field with 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• 2-3 years of experience working in electronics manufacturing environment; SMT experience a must.
• Intermediate knowledge of quantitative methods and tools, including SPC, process capabilities, and DOE/experiments.
• Advanced expertise with problem-solving tools to investigate, document and resolve quality issues.
• MS Office experience required. Experience with PLM change management, ERP, and metrics a plus.
• Electrical, mechanical, and statistical aptitude required.
• Strong oral and written communications skills are required.
• ASQ engineer certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead or provide cross‑functional team support on resolution of quality issues.
• Guide cross‑functional teams to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Document investigation reports with strong technical writing.
• Lead training to support quality objectives and culture.
• Champion continuous improvements to drive customer satisfaction and plant objectives.
• Support quality audits, corrective actions, and supplier changes and qualifications.
• Lead incoming quality initiatives and support resolution of vendor quality problems (e.g., FAIR, PPAP).
• Lead supplier quality initiatives or CI projects.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9100; support audits and corrective actions.
• Assist with UL certification and ISO accreditations; RoHS/REACH compliance.
