Job summary

Microwave Products Group - Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH seeks a Quality Engineer to verify conformance to requirements and guide root-cause and corrective actions when products or processes fail.

You will analyze defect data, support inspections, review engineering drawings, participate in design reviews, and coordinate with customers and suppliers on quality issues. A background in IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 and AS9100 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a thorough understanding of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other departments, including manufacturing, engineering and management.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the customer, both in verbal and written formats.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Must have the ability to analyze data to formulate quality and reliability decisions.
• Experience on Material Review Board as participant and/or chairperson a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze defect data and establish trend charts for review by management.
• Assist inspectors in determining defects, component information, process indicators, etc.
• Recommend alternate inspection techniques and inspection equipment to facilitate more reliable inspections.
• Attend daily production meetings to support any quality related issues that need to be addressed.
• Participate in design reviews in order to determine if the product being designed can be manufactured and to ensure that quality is designed and built into the product.
• Supports the engineering and manufacturing group with material and process issues.
