Job summary

Pole/Zero Corporation, part of Dover, is seeking a Quality Engineer in West Chester, OH to verify conformance to specs and support root-cause analysis for nonconforming product and processes. You will work with manufacturing, engineering, and customer teams to drive robust quality and reliable products.

The role emphasizes defect analysis, process improvement, and participation in design reviews to ensure quality is built into products. A strong background in IPC standards and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a thorough understanding of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other departments, including manufacturing, engineering and management.
• High proficiency in Excel and the ability to analyze data to drive quality and reliability decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze defect data and establish trend charts for review by management.
• Assist inspectors in determining defects and material information.
• Verify conformance and recommend alternate inspection techniques and equipment.
• Attend daily production meetings to support quality issues.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and quality by design.
• Support engineering/manufacturing with material and process issues.
• Develop and implement inspection plans and QA procedures.
• Interface with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and changes.
• Lead or participate in Change Control Board (CCB) activities and quality initiatives.
