Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Troy is seeking a Quality Engineer to apply quality principles across the product lifecycle from design to manufacturing. You will evaluate requirements, support failure investigations, and develop strategies to improve performance.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a STEM field, 1+ year manufacturing experience, ability to read drawings and GD&T, and familiarity with QA documentation. A Secret clearance is required; US citizenship and eligibility are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Quality Engineering or STEM field or equivalent.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Secret clearance.
• 1+ year of manufacturing or production experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications; familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and GD&T.
• Experience creating or maintaining work instructions or quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, and designs.
• Participate in failure investigations and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve performance.
• Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, conduct statistical analysis.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure we meet contract requirements.
