Job summary

R.W. Screw Products, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to monitor and improve the quality of our manufacturing processes and outputs. You will design quality standards, inspect materials, and develop quality control systems while driving corrective actions.

The role requires leading audits, handling vendor relations, and supporting product launches with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Strong analytical skills and collaboration across departments are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Quality certification, such as ASQ, is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality operations.
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Experience with root cause analysis, FMEA, PPAP, and SPC.
• ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certification experience: Strong understanding of IATF 16949 standards and the ability to implement and maintain a quality management system.
• Six Sigma or Lean certifications (Green Belt or higher) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the IATF 16949 quality management system.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean, and Root Cause Analysis to address quality issues and improve processes.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, production, and materials on new products and launches to meet quality standards.
• Provide quality training and communicate metrics to management for informed decision making.
