Job summary

Sonance seeks a Quality Engineer to uphold ISO 9001 standards and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes at the Minden, NV facility. You will work with Engineering, Production, and Operations to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of quality.

The role emphasizes QMS development, process control, audits, and cross-functional problem solving, with a focus on defect reduction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; 3+ years in manufacturing quality.
• Knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, CAPA, auditing principles.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; ISO 9001 experience a plus.
• Experience with powder coating, painting, and custom assembly; ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a QMS compliant with ISO 9001 standards.
• Create process control plans, FMEA, and inspection criteria.
• Support internal and external audits, including ISO and customer requirements.
• Lead Six Sigma projects and root cause analysis for quality issues.
• Monitor COPQ and implement preventive actions and improvements.
• Train and mentor staff on quality tools and problem-solving techniques.
