Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop, implement, and improve quality plans in a manufacturing context in Monroe, NC. You will drive corrective and preventive actions, respond to SCARs, and prepare regulatory reports while leveraging COS tools to push continuous improvement.

The role requires a mechanical/manufacturing engineering background with 2–5 years of quality engineering experience; ASQ certification is preferred to support accreditation to industry standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of quality engineering experience.
  • ASQ certification (or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and improve quality plans (PCS).
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and respond to customer escapes and corrective action requests (SCARs).
  • Prepare reports such as VIRS, VPARS, LOAs, and RCCA responses.
  • Drive continuous improvement using COS tools.
  • Develop, create, edit, and implement quality procedures.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
