Job summary

PNC is seeking a Quality Engineer Specialist within Technology - Digital Retail. Based in Birmingham, AL, you will collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Developers and QE Leads to ensure high‑quality software delivery.

You will develop and execute detailed test plans, influence testing approaches, ensure test environments are accessible, and drive defect triage and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities in QA testing disciplines.
• Experience with test planning, defect management, and SDLC processes is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with product owners, analysts, developers and QE leads.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes detailed test plans, aligning with program goals.
• Provides input to testing approaches, tools and technologies for projects.
• Ensures access to test environments and escalates issues and risks.
• Prioritizes and retests/dispositions defects; seeks process improvements.
• Participates in team planning with timeline and resource estimation.
