Job summary

Veeva is seeking Quality Engineers to join the Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team, focusing on functional and automation testing for life sciences products. You will verify data integrity, automate tests, and work in an Agile environment to ensure successful releases.

Responsibilities include documenting test plans, writing SQL queries, and collaborating with engineers and analysts to optimize test coverage and data workflows. This role offers growth in a high-impact SaaS setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid, relevant work experience with DB design, data flow, and business logic.
• Experience with AWS.
• Strong knowledge of SQL database testing.
• Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and business analysts to understand data requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and approaches in a software company with short release cycles.
• Experience creating testing documentation (test plans, cases/scripts, bug reports).
• Writing test cases and automating them for sanity, boundary, negative, compatibility, end-to-end and concurrency tests.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude) for automation development, debugging, and testing.
• Experience in Java, Python, or other OO languages.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, TestRail.
• Experience in a SaaS environment with agile development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or CS/Applications.

Responsibilities

• Create testing-related documentation including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports.
• Develop deep product expertise.
• Conduct QA tests and verify outcomes within schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other QA testers in an Agile team.
• Work with automation group to improve regression coverage.
• Partially develop and run automation scripts.
• Design database test strategies based on requirements.
• Validate inserted, updated, or deleted data against business logic.
• Check source-to-target data integrity.
• Write SQL queries to validate data interactions.
• Verify user roles, access privileges, and data masking rules.
