Job summary

Veeva is seeking Quality Engineers to join the Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team, focusing on functional and automation testing for life sciences products. You will verify data integrity, automate tests, and work in an Agile environment to ensure successful releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid, relevant work experience with DB design, data flow, and business logic.
• Experience with AWS.
• Strong knowledge of SQL database testing.
• Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and business analysts to understand data requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and approaches in a software company with short release cycles.
• Experience creating testing documentation (test plans, cases/scripts, bug reports).
• Writing test cases and automating them for sanity, boundary, negative, compatibility, end-to-end and concurrency tests.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude) for automation development, debugging, and testing.
• Experience in Java, Python, or other OO languages.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, TestRail.
• Experience in a SaaS environment with agile development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or CS/Applications.

The Role

We’re hiring Quality Engineers to work at Veeva, working on various products in the Life Sciences industry encompassing the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.

As part of our Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team, you will be responsible for functional and automation testing of software, ensuring customer success with every release.

• Create testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risk.
• Develop deep expertise in the product.

• Experience in Java, Python, or other object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with products like Jira, Confluence, TestRail.
• Experience in a SaaS environment that has an agile development process.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Computer Science/Applications or a related field.

Compensation

• Base pay: $70,000 - $120,000.
• The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
