Job summary

EMD Electronics is hiring a Quality Engineer in Tamaqua, PA, with 3 days in the office and up to 5% travel domestically. You will drive quality excellence using SPC, data analytics, and cross-functional CAPA to deliver world-class materials to semiconductor customers globally.

Required BS or MS in engineering/math with 3–5+ years (or more) in chemical manufacturing or semiconductor fabrication. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, ISO9001, and SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or mathematics with 5+ years in chemical/semiconductor tech.
• MS in engineering or math with 3+ years in similar fields.
• Experience applying SPC and statistical process control.

Responsibilities

• Own SPC across operations; build and refine systems to detect variation and drive CAPA.
• Apply statistics (t-tests, ANOVA, multivariate modeling) to improve quality.
• Lead cross-functional teams in data-driven root-cause investigations.
• Design automation and data digitization initiatives to speed decisions.
• Serve as voting member for material disposition using data.
• Voice of the customer to ensure metrics reflect requirements.
• Lead audits of processing and quality systems with statistical evidence.
• Contribute to Lean, Six Sigma and data-driven process optimization.
• Lead teams delivering quality of all materials to major customers.
