Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Conyers, GA is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive sustainable quality improvements by coordinating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain. You will apply formal methods like PDCA, 6-sigma, and A3 to reduce COPQ and improve product quality in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll develop data collection programs, define process capability, communicate metrics up to senior levels, and support Lean initiatives while training teams on updated QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years’ experience applying quality engineering principles in manufacturing.
• Experience with data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Use data-driven problem-solving methodologies (PDCA, A3, 6-sigma) to drive results.
• Develop and implement data collection to define production capability.
• Define production capabilities and apply data to quality standards.
• Develop measurements and communicate data to organizational levels.
• Participate in lean initiatives like 5S and value stream events.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, CI, and other teams on cross-functional problems.
• Work with Industrial Eng. and Accounting to quantify COPQ benefits.
• Create training materials, SOPs, and work instructions for updated processes.
• Organize QA meetings, events, and related logistics.
